Lego Architecture

Thursday, May 21, 2009

For you die hard lego fans, architects, or both, this could very well be an opportunity to put a hole in your walet. A collaboration with Frank Lloyd Wright, Legos have step into the game of modern buildings...

and structures. There are 4 sets(The Sears Tower, John Hancock Center, Empire State Building, Seattle Space Needle) to this collection and are already available for purchase.

Each set comes with Specially printed Landmark name plate. Inspiration Booklet containing: Skyscraper Facts, Architectural Significance, Points of Interest. Model Instructions and Artist Statement.

range from $50 to $100, which really isn't too bad. I'd be totally down to receive this a gift.

From what I've heard, Frank Lloyd Wright's a true perfectionist when it comes to his buildings. Not only does he like to have his buildings perfect, he'd also modify/redesign the interior objects such as plates/furniture just to have that cohesiveness. Over-budget's something common to this architect, but clients can't do anything about it, simply because he's the shit.
