It's me again, apologizing for the lack of updates. But this time, there's a Mac to blame. Few weeks ago, my LCD declared its retirement. It was the start of my hunt for a new laptop...
With many feed backs from facebook and blogger, along with the advantage of my student discount status and Apple's newly released Macbook Pro, I've decided to purchase my first ever Apple. (Student discount=$100 off laptop + free iPod touch that's worth $230 + free HP C4480 printer that's worth $100)
Alex, a former Appl employee, and Erica came to give me some tips on getting the Apple.
Alex also hooked me up with many state of the art software to enhance the efficiency of the laptop. "+20 Kudos points."
Joey and Frank came by to witness the wallet ripping event as well.
Sidenote// one of the Apple employee, whose name I shall keep it to myself, did a really bad job as a sales rep. She was overpowering in pushing me getting everything that I couldn't afford. I almost pulled a round house kick.
Anyway,
You've got to give some cool points to Apple for its slick design.
The new Mac has a aluminum cast unibody, SD card slot(woot! I love this feature when I had my Dell Inspiron), and 4 GB's of standard RAM. Batteries, which now last up to 7 hours, are not removable and hidden within the laptop.
All the cool stuff aside, it sure is making my head big getting used to the Apple's operating system.
Syncing is also a pain the butt. (Btw, for those who bookmarks or favorites, do check out "Xmarks" for online bookmarking, so you can simply sync the new device online without pulling all the files through program file - my documents and setting - user - favo.....)
When a product actually change the way how the user behaves, it's captured the consumer market. Apple makes people having their own "Apple mind set". Everyone I see that owns has this urge to push the product to others - the consumers became Apple's own active sales rep. This epidemic is incredible.
This laptop cost way too much to not take pictures of every step of the unwrapping:
BAM. I'm sure this will last me more than five years. 5 YEARS STRONG!
//you ask Allen himself what he was doing.
Here's how I feel:
I still misses PC, but Apple's really amazing, too.
